Clearing up the confusion, one truth at a time.

There's no shortage of misinformation when it comes to menopause. From outdated medical advice and studies and internet noise, it's hard to know what's fact and what's flat-out fiction.

Let's set the record straight.

Myth: Menopause starts at 50

Fact: Perimenopause-the transition into menopause-can be as early as your mid-30's. Most women are in it by their early 40's often without realizing it.

Myth: Weight gain is inevitable.

Fact: Hormonal shifts can affect metabolism, but weight gain isn't a given. With the right nutrition, stress support, sleep, and movement, your body can rebalance-even in midlife.

Myth: Hormone replacement therapy is dangerous.

Fact: Bioidentical and even synthetic HRT, when prescribed and monitored by a knowledgeable provider, can be safe and life changing, new reports are now saying lowering breast cancer risk-especially when started before age 60.

Myth: Menopause is only about hot flashes.

Fact: It's a full body experience that can affect function, mood, sleep, joint health, digestion, bone density, and much more. Hot flashes are just one piece of the puzzle.

Myth: Female hormones are just estrogen and progesterone.

Fact: Women's hormone balance involves testosterone, DHEA, cortisol, insulin, and thyroid hormones. They all interact- and play a role in how you feel day to day.

Myth: You just have to deal with it, its normal.

Fact: You don't. Menopause is not a punishment- you're not meant to suffer in silence. We are all bio-identical, meaning not one person can compare to the other as to what menopause is like for you, everyone is different.

So what is menopause, really? Menopause is officially defined as 365 days without a period. If you get a period during that time even once you're not in menopause and the countdown starts resets.

Once you've gone a full year without a period, you're considered post-menopausal, whether you have symptoms or not.

You deserve real answers, updated information, and support that actually helps. Let's stop settling for outdated advice- and start rewriting the menopause story together.
